A few months ago I wrote a blog about sex and the law within the UK. After reading yesterday what was a very good article from the BBC I wanted to touch on this subject again.
To quote a saying from my last blog…….
I have a little saying about the sex world of 2016……”imagine walking into an underground rave, everyone is wearing neon face paint but you can’t see it until you turn the florescent light on, only to discover it’s everywhere. Right next to you dancing, serving you at the bar and maybe even the person you take home. It’s everywhere and a lot of the time hiding in plain sight”
In this article, which I will leave the link for you to read through at the bottom of this blog, it is clearly supporting the champagne to change the law for sex workers in the UK today. Its main focus is around sex workers not being able to work in their place of work with another sex worker. Leaving them unsafe or forcing them to break the law in order to keep themselves safe.
I must stress in this that in all my time while I was working as an escort and then running my agency, I have never encountered an incident where by a myself or one of my Liverpool escorts have been put at risk or the police needed to called. However I do put that down to the fact that I know what I am doing when I comes to running a professional elite escort agency.
At my agency I keep my prices where they should be and I have never lowered them. I do not reply to rude texts or act like a chat line whilst taking bookings for my ladies. I of course do all my checks when sending ladies on an out-call and I stay in full contact with all my escorts when they are going in to and out of a booking. These simple acts reduce all the time wasters and lower end clientele who lower the industry and what I believe to give it a bad name.
The other day I interviewed a lady in Liverpool that had been working for another local agency. This agency is known for “supplying” (their words not mine) escorts for £100 an hour. This is their outcall charge, so the escort then has to pay for her own travel and then pay her agencies fees. They also do incalls for £60. The thought of this is unbearable. I won’t name the agency but anyone who works in the Liverpool and Manchester area will know who they are.
I nearly cried when she was telling me. What made it more upsetting was she thought that was the way the industry was. When I told her the Liverpool ladies fee structure and how much she would be walking away with she herself said she felt as if she had been exploited by this agency. I would agree with her.
If they change the UK law for sex workers and they put regulations in place for agencies that have in-call apartments, then these lower end agencies are less likely to operate. As a professional agency owner I would happily pay a licensing fee for my apartment. Then girls applying to my agency would be able to ask for the paper work and know they are working for a responsible, professional escort agency.
On another note the article I read by the BBC the other day did make me chuckle with their figures. Their argument that was meant to be a strong one was, 11% of men aged 16-74 have paid for sex at least once in their life. Now I think it’s safe to say that there is a lot more than 11% of men. I would even go as far as to say that 70% of men in the UK have paid for sex. The figure 11% didn’t quite have the strength behind it that it was implying lol. Oh well, I can’t knock the BBC. At least they were trying.
These agencies that go around exploiting girls and acting in this disgusting manner need to be stopped. I can’t stress enough to ladies when applying to an agency to do their research. You have self worth and you should never allow anyone to treat you in such a way that is degrading.
